#SXSW Blog Briefs

This certainly isn’t complete, but here are some things I’ve tagged to go back to from other SXSW Interactive attendees … Daniel Spillers looks at not listening to your customers as a path to innovation and success. “Never ask people what they think of your product or idea.” (Reminds me of the Henry Ford comment about if he had asked...

Disconnecting, Reconnecting at #SXSW

Started off the morning with a great discussion on Disconnecting the Dots: How Our Devices Are Divisive. Roy Christopher, a grad student from the University of Texas at Austin and a one-time University of a georgia student, talked a bit about how technology was getting in the way of communicating wi each other and ourselves. Some are direct quotes, some are generalizations. Will attribute them when I can, but all of these are things I will be talking about more in the...

First iPad 2 in the Wild at #SXSW

Totally geeky here … but I spotted my first iPad 2 in a conference here at SXSW Interactive. Staci Kramer from PaidContent.org said she spent about 90 minutes in line on Friday to pick hers up here in Austin. She was testing out the video capability at the Changing News Rooms and News Consumers panel discussion.

SXSW Survival Guide

I am down in Austin, Texas, at the SXSW Interactive conference and am learning a ton. First, I have learned that I need to post more, so today I am hoping to get up some short, quick posts about some of the sessions. Lessons from yesterday though, first … – SXSW is EPIC. I have covered and attended big things...
