Images from Japan

It is strange to be sitting at a massive conference that isn’t (directly) about journalism when there is a major breaking news story going on. Most conference I go to are journalism-based and if I were at one of those, that’s all we would be talking about.

In between sessions, I’ve been looking online and both The Atlantic’s In Focus and Boston.com’s Big Picture have strong photo galleries of the earthquake damage and tsunami from Japan.

The images are stunning as I don’t ever recall seeing this many photos of an actual tsunami before. The video loops on the cable news channels are equally powerful.
