The Photographers, Now Online

The 1996 National Geographic film The Photographers is now available for online streaming. This is a great look at a bunch of their shooters and what they go through to get an image. Well worth spending an hour of time watching it. (Thanks to Greg Mironchuk for the link.)

Imagining a Non-imaging Kodak

A little late on this … and that’s a terrible headline, too. But last week, Kodak sold off its Image Sensor Solutions business to an equity firm for, supposedly, $200 million. Which means that Kodak no longer manufactures or sells anything that actually records an image outside of some film stocks. How did this happen?
