Another Big Picture-style Photo Blog

Looks like Alan Taylor has launched The Atlantic’s large-photo blog with their In Focus page. Taylor was the guy behind Boston.com’s Big Picture which really started this style.

My personal favorites:

• The Big Picture – This may be the original, certainly still one of the best
• Captured – Done by the Denver Post, this tends to go really deep into a visual topic
• Photo Journal – From the Wall Street Journal, of all places, comes one of the best daily-news visual collections
• Lens – This one if very different from the others as it includes commentary on the images, but the New York Times’ take is great
