Life.com Looks at the Klan

Jon Vibe spotted this … Life.com has a selection of photos from Anthony Karen’s upcoming book, “The Invisible Empire: Ku Klux Klan.” The editors refer to the photos as “unnerving,” so you know. There is a good discussion in the captions about gaining access and trust.

Great Graphics

The New York Times‘ Lens blog has a selection of images up by Michael Wolf of Chicago architecture – and the visual formations are stunningly cool (particularly the last frame). There’s even a legal note appended to the piece that talks about privacy issues – something we as journalists deal with a lot.

Iconic Images, Then and Now

CNN.com has a brief story up about the ability of images to become icons, citing famous images such as Eddie Adams’ Viet Cong execution image and John Filo’s Kent State shooting photo.
