AP Revises Caption – 68 Years After Publication

The Associated Press has revised a caption from a photo shot in 1942. Still think accurate captions aren’t necessary? Even after almost 70 years, someone is still looking at them.

W. Eugene Smith and the Jazz Loft

The New York Times has a neat piece up that’s been compiled by Sam Stephenson – it’s a combination of the photos and audio that W. Eugene Smith show and recorded while living in New York City. He shot more than 1,400 rolls of film and recorded more than 1,000 hours of musicians inside that one building.

The Best of National Geographic, 2009

National Geographic has named their top 10 images from 2009. Some great images in there, and a nice way to spend a weekend hour studying these. And if you didn’t get a chance to see the redwoods photo foldout, you missed something spectacular in the magazine this year. The online version does it no justice at all.
