Ben Long over at Macworld.com talks about leaving his MacBook behind and wandering through parts of Turkey with just his iPad, DSLR and a portable hard drive. He’s got some good tips on software for the iPad that’s worth looking at. (I use Photogene and have been happy with it, so there’s another vote for it.)

Many of us still have negatives around the office. Lots and lots of negatives. Wired.com has a post up about an idea that Andrew Lewis came up with to help scan those negatives on the nearly-ubiquitous flatbed scanners. Not sure on the image quality here, but it’s a neat idea. Some flatbed scanners do have the ability to scan film....
