The Education of Walter Iooss, Jr.

Sports Illustrated has posted an autobiographical piece by one of their legends, Walter Iooss, Jr. It’s a long read, but worth it as he tells tales of shooting the greats over the last 50 years.

My self-aggrandizing moment: I assisted for Iooss once, in about 1995, on a shoot of Mo Vaughn at Fenway Park. Learned a ton, even if all I did was be a mobile ballast and keep a giant silk from falling over.

(Thanks to Donald Winslow for the lead.)
