Going Vertical

One of the common complaints still photographers make when moving over to video is the forced-horizontality of traditional video players. Looks like some folks have gotten together over on Vimeo to create Tallscreen – a group of vertical videos. Will it catch on? Who knows … but it’s a fun idea.

The Jazz Loft

In the late 1950s, W. Eugene Smith moved into a New York City apartment building known as the Jazz Loft. He made more than 40,000 images of musicians playing for the fun of it, along with hours and hours of audio recordings. Now, the show is on the road.
