October 21, 2011 The Chris Hondros Fund Launches Chris Hondros, who was killed in Libya earlier this year alongside Tim Hetherington, left behind a legacy of images and work ethic. October 20, 2011 New Canon EOS-1D X Announced We’ll have to wait until spring to see one, but Canon announced their next pro-level camera this week – the EOS-1D X. It’s … not what many expected. October 19, 2011 AP Photojournalist Ed Reinke Has Passed The Associated Press’ Kentucky photographer, Ed Reinke, has died. He fell during the October 2 IndyCar race and suffered significant head injuries. His career spanned nearly 40 years and was filled with amazing work. Categories At Work/Photojournalism
October 19, 2011 Photoshop’s Next Possible Feature: Image Deblurring At Adobe’s 2011 Sneak Peek conference, they showed a possible future feature for Photoshop – a deblurring algorithm. It’s … well … stunning. In concept, it analyzes an image that is not sharp due to motion (not focus) (yet) and then corrects for the motion pattern it has sensed.
