David Alan Harvey’s Burn Magazine and the Magnum Foundation have opened applications for its Emerging Photographer Grant. Deadline is May 15, 2012, and there’s a $25 application fee.

Smartphone as Movie Studio

Temple University Journalism Student Arrested

The Associated Press has reported that Temple University photojournalism student Ian Van Kuyk was arrested on March 14, 2012, while taking photos outside of his residence. Uniformed police officers from the city of Philadelphia were performing a routine traffic stop at the time of the arrest.
