April 4, 2014 AP Photojournalist Shot in Afghanistan Sad news – Associated Press photojournalist Anja Niedringhaus was, essentially, executed in Afghanistan. Reporter Kathy Gannon was also shot while sitting in a car stopped along a roadside.
