Documentary Filmmaker Arrested at Congressional Hearing

First, be careful of what you read about this story – there are multiple reports out there as to what happened prior to the meeting. The New York Times post on this is brief but seems to have the salient points. The Huffington Post entry is longer and appears to have more details in it, though it’s tone is more accusatory.

Why the hesitation on this? I first saw this on the National Press Photographers Association’s Facebook page and, in a follow up by NPPA General Counsel Mickey Osterreicher, there are some details not in the other stories. According to that post, Josh Fox did not formally request access to the hearing.
