Multimedia Bootcamps at the Freedom Forum Diversity Institute

FYI …

Freedom Forum New Media Training at the Diversity Institute will offer two hands-on Multimedia Boot Camps this fall: Multimedia Boot Camp for Journalism Professionals and Educators November 16-20, and Advanced Multimedia Boot Camp October 12 – 16, 2011, for more experienced practitioners.

Both Boot Camps use practical, hands-on study and practice to make you a more effective journalist or educator. See what prior attendees have said. Or better yet, talk to your colleagues who have already attended Multimedia Boot Camp.

This is hands-on training, equivalent to a 3-credit-hour college course. You will learn real world storytelling skills that you can use on the job right away.

Registration is available immediately and on a first-come, first-served basis. Class size is capped at 18. Tuition is $850, payable in advance, and registration is online through the link below. Registrations for the basic boot camp will be accepted until November 4 or until filled; registrations for the October advanced boot camp will be accepted until Sept. 30, or until filled.

The training will occur at the Diversity Institute’s state-of-the-art school facilities in the Freedom Forum’s John Seigenthaler Center, 1207 18th Ave. South, Nashville, Tenn.

Reasonable, reduced rates for nearby lodging are available. Tuition covers all supplies, use of multimedia equipment and software during training, some meals and many materials. For more information, see our website.
