David Douglas Duncan’s Work at the University of Texas at Austin

David Douglas Duncan is one the greats. His books – including This is War! and Yankee Nomad – have shaped generations of photojournalists. He was with Life magazine during its heyday and made a mostly successful transition into doing still photos for television in the late 1960s.

He has donated his life’s work to the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin and they have posted a large segment of it online, worth spending time with it on a lazy weekend morning.
