Technology Dreams

Nick Devlin over at the Luminous Landscape site has a list of five camera technologies he really wants to see in the future.

I suppose everyone has a list like this, but there’s only one of his that I might even think about (live view on a tablet of some sort). And I think I’m still waiting for camera-to-subject distance-based exposure, which Nikon could have done back in the mid-90s but didn’t. Life shooting high school basketball would have been so much easier if I could have told the camera that, at 5-18 feet, my exposure was going to be 1/250 and f/2.8, but beyond 18 feet it should be 1/500 at f/2.8.
