Eight Apps Journalists Should Have

Whitney Mathews over at the Poynter Institute has a listing of eight apps we should have on our smart phones. Most of these I have and agree with, though I’m still not sure Instagram is a “news” app as much as a social networking/sharing app. But maybe I just don’t get it yet … entirely possible.

I would add Evernote to the list, though – if you haven’t already started using it, you should. It’s a note-taking and note-organizing service based in the cloud so you can sync your phone, tablet and desktop/laptop. Great for keeping notes on ongoing projects collected in one place.
