Court Orders Photo Published in Black and White

I’m still processing this … a Roanoke judge allowed photojournalist Matt Gentry to cover a pre-trial hearing provided his newspaper, the Roanoke Times, only published it in black and white.

Fascinating premise here – the defense attorney did not want any pre-trial coverage to prejudice potential jurors by seeing the defendant in his orange prison jumpsuit.
