We’ve Lost Dave Martin
Didn’t really want to start 2014 with two downbeat posts, but I must … Associated Press staff photographer Dave Martin collapsed and died at the end of last night’s Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta.
Martin had been on staff with the AP for nearly 30 years and, while I never met him, knew his work and his reputation well. He has many friends throughout the southeast and will be missed.
Dave was a fun-loving and gentle person who was very generous to his colleagues and a hell of a photojournalist!
