You do not walk into a meeting with a potential client with your bag of gear. You walk in with your portfolio. Your portfolio and who you are gets you work. NOT your gear.

If you look at the basic capabilities of entry-level DSLR cameras now and compare them to the gear used by some of the luminaries in the field, they are way better.

Well, they’re way better at producing lousy photos faster, at least.
