Ethics or Taste?

Over at the National Press Photographers Association’s Ethics Matters blog they take on the issue of running a photo of the dead or dying Libyan ambassador earlier this week. Their take is it’s not really an ethical issue so much as it is a matter of taste, and that has to be judged based on an understanding of your audience.

Which is the same argument I would have made were I still in a newsroom.
