Web Site Design Tips

Everyone will, eventually, have a web site. Or so it seems with the continued explosive growth we’re seeing. If you’re a photographer, the question becomes what should yours look like?

Over at Black Star Rising, David Saxe approaches this from the other end – how should you build it? But I think he buried the lead – his fourth point, on planning the architecture, should be way higher, probably to the second position.

You have to know the structure, you have to think about the flow from section to section, before you can go in and decorate or (preferably) illustrate your site. Think of it as basic journalism – know the story, then figure out how to tell it.
