What Did You Do for Labor Day?
I, apparently, was a lazy sloth … because, as Michael Koretzky writes on his blog Journoterrorist, he helped lead a journalism workshop inside a homeless shelter down in Florida.
Yep. Twenty students from around the country came to town and spent 36 hours inside a homeless shelter, reporting, shooting, writing and designing a 20 page edition of the Homeless Voice.
This was the third year for the Will Write for Food event … and, unlike a couple of the commenters, I think I want to go next year. Or at least get my students involved.
Nice work, Koretzky.
