Pitch a Story, Get a Mentor, Earn a Little Cash

UPIU has a second iteration of their journalism contest online now and it’s a pretty good concept now.

Here’s the basics … they’re looking for stories on the topic of energy. You write a short pitch, send it in and, if they like it, assign you a mentor to help guide you through the process. There’s a little cash to help get it done, too. If it works out, they’ll push it out on their site.

Can I pitch a multimedia story? Yes, we love stories with multimedia elements! In fact, story pitches with ideas for photos, video clips or other multimedia are preferred.
