Runaway Cows Photojournalist Update
Last week, a student photojournalist for The Lantern at Ohio State University was detained after photographing some wandering cows. Now, the paper, which is run by the university, and the university are refusing to provide him with legal representation because he was detained by … the Ohio State University police department.
I found this by way of A Photo A Day, and, probably due to the discussion, was confused about whether the paper was funded by the university or not. I think I also read that they didn’t want to provide legal counsel to the photog because it might be a conflict of interest …?
You know, I think somebody somewhere at Ohio State is not being told something.
