Carolyn Carter, Pioneering Photojournalist and Grady Alum, Passes at 91

Last week, Carolyn Carter passed away at the age of 91. Mrs. Carter was the first female photojournalist at the Atlanta Constitution and was an award winning photojournalist. She and her husband, Don, founded the Carter Chair for Journalism Excellence at Grady College in 2004.

Her importance to the University of Georgia campus won’t ever be truly measurable, but please take a moment to keep her husband and family in your thoughts.
