Tips for Shooting Concerts

Over on the Black Star Rising site, Joseph Linaschke has a post up on how to shoot concerts. And, given the high number of performances we have here in Athens, this is a topic I get a lot of questions about. (And occasionally think I should have as an assignment in one of my classes … hmmm.)

While I haven’t played with the auto ISO setting, the one thing that may be going unspoken here is to shoot in a RAW format whenever possible. That will let you fine tune the ISO and white balance after the fact, a huge plus in variable lighting situations.
