Curiosity Befits the Journalist
This is the type of story I love: A journalist sees something that makes them ponder and then they search out an answer. In this audio slide show on the New York Times’ web site, J. Adam Huggins explored where New York City manhole covers come from.
Nicely executed.
Nice journalism.
Holy heck. Those images are gorgeous. I love the depth to them and the light quality. So great that they inspired a follow-up to working conditions. I would have liked to see more than one photo of the women, it seemed missing. Some pics of the men got repetitive.
I guess once you make it to the nytimes, you can pick your own assignments, at least sometimes. 🙂
