Over at PetaPixel.com, Michael Zhang writes today that Canon has openly stated they want want to register the generic top level domain “.canon”. (Generic top level domains are the .com, .net, .org, etc, found in URLs.) Which is … well … fine? I guess. Maybe. Zhang does ask whether a .canon address will be easier or harder to remember than...

It’s going on now, and one of our own is speaking downstairs. Beth Farrar, who escaped with a Publication Management degree with an emphasis in photojournalism, is talking about how she used Twitter to network and find clients for her design and social media marketing business.

If no editor is found soon, the 90-year-old Technician could be at the end of its run. The story hints that changes in the industry could be driving students away from journalism, but given the full classes and high demand we’re experiencing here at the University of Georgia, I suspect it’s something else.
