Over at the Gear Geek …

I’m writing about a couple of cheap mobile apps visual journalists should take a look at over at the NPPA’s Gear Geek blog this morning.

All of these were things brought to my attention at this past weekend’s Teachapalooza* conference at the Poynter Institute. Incoming and returning students be warned: I have A LOT of new ideas for the fall. We’re done messing around, it’s time to get intensely serious.

*I did not name this, so don’t mock it. But we did decide to -palooza a lot of things. Photopalooza. Tweetapalooza. Lunchapalooza. Who said academics can’t be funny?
