Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar – Dec. 3 & 4
It’s coming up again, get it on your calendar and plan on being there.
It’s that time of year again to begin planning for the winter migration to Atlanta on December 3rd & 4th, for the 38th Annual Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar.
This years Friday offerings include workshops by Paula Lerner “The Art & Commerce of Multimedia”, SI’s Bob Rosato “Inside Sports”, Tim Hale & SSgt. Michel Sauret “Combat Camera & The Embed”, Lance Murphey & John Hubbell “DSLR Video – a Crash Course”, Zach Arias “One Light”.
Saturday’s speaker series continues with the AP’s Gerald Herbert on the Gulf oil spill, David Leeson on the transition from newspaper to freelance and personal creativity, John Kaplan on narrative work, cancer and filmmaking, Canon Explorer of Light’s Simon Bruty on action sports and Gary S. Chapman on working with NGO’s and his humanitarian vision.
If that isn’t enough, there are evening portfolio critiques, our annual photojournalism competition including multimedia out the wazoo!
Saturday’s trade show is shaping up to be bigger than ever and don’t forget to bring your Nikon and Canon gear for complimentary clean & checks.
Lastly, our annual print auction is going to be huge! We’ll have over thirty prints up for bid in a silent auction that will run through the seminar and another thirty that will be offered in our live auction.
Each week we’ll be emailing you with updates, contest reminders, speaker & workshop leaders bios and auction prints.
Be well, enter early and get ready for the best value in photojournalism education out there!
All the best-
Ken Hawkins for the ATLPJX board
