Olympic Lens Restrictions

This won’t affect the photojournalists covering the London Olympics, but all those dentists* who have been debating which big lens to bring to the opening ceremonies are in for a surprise – ticket holders will be limited to lenses of less than 30 centimeters (11.8 inches) in total length.

* Am I picking on dentists? Well, I only know one at the moment – mine – and every time I go in my appointment takes three times as long as it should because he keeps asking me about which lens he should buy next and whether he should buy a 7D or a 5D Mark III. I am really tempted to bring him two different toothbrushes and ask him which one will improve my smile more.
