Sports Shooter Academy VIII To Be Held Sept. 21-25

FYI … from Robert Hanashiro:

Four days of sports photography, working with an award-winning faculty, getting a critical view of your work, networking with people from around the country and having access to top professional-level camera gear are just a few of the things that make the Sports Shooter Academy THE coolest sports photography event of the year.

SSA VIII will be held Sept. 21-25, 2011 in Orange County, Calif. Sports events on the workshop shooting schedule include: College football, volleyball, water polo, cross country and soccer plus surfing, beach volleyball and boxing. Lecture topics include: Using remote cameras, gym lighting, business practices for photographers and getting the most out of your speedlights.

The Sports Shooter Academy is a hands-on workshop where participants shoot events under the direction of the workshop faculty and staff. Each evening participants edit their work with the help of the faculty, receiving one-on-one critiques.

The Sports Shooter Academy is sponsored by Nikon, which will have their latest professional cameras, lenses, speedlights and accessories available for workshop participants to check out to use during their shoots.

Funding provided by Nikon will allow full-time college and university students to attend the Sports Shooter Academy tuition-free.
