Adobe, Canon working to detect pixel fraud

Wired.com has a short piece about how Adobe is working on software to authenticate images – essentially, to prove if they’ve been manipulated or not. Given some of the instances over the last few years, this may not be a bad idea, though the article does mention the possibility of “false positives.”
