Alexia Foundation Entries Open Next Week
CALL FOR ENTRIES: ANNOUNCING THE 2014 ALEXIA FOUNDATION GRANTS
The Alexia Foundation is pleased to announce that it will begin accepting applications for its 2014 Professional and Student Grants starting Nov. 15, 2013. The deadline for submissions for the Professional Grant is 2 p.m. Jan. 13, 2014. The deadline for the Student Grant is 2 p.m. on Jan. 27, 2013.
The Professional Grant Recipient will receive $20,000. The Student Winner will receive funding for a semester at the Syracuse University London Program, a $1,000 cash grant to help produce the proposed body of work, a $300 gift card from Dury’s Photo and $500 will be awarded to that student’s academic department. Student Grants will also be awarded to a Second Place Winner, and three Award of Excellence Winners.
We are excited to have added an additional Student Grant this year, the Gilka Grant, honoring Robert E. Gilka. The grant will recognize the best project proposal that also includes a multimedia component. The winner will receive a $1,500 scholarship to attend the Kalish Workshop.
