On Campus: Justin Gillis, April 22

Saw the flier in the hall today … one of my all-time favorite alums will be speaking here at the University of Georgia Chapel on Friday, April 22, from 12:30-1:30.

Justin Gillis is the Environmental Science reporter for the New York Times and he’ll be talking about Writing in a Hothouse: The Journalism of Climate Change.

Gillis is an amazing presenter – he gets the science and he gets the journalism. Being in a room with him makes you smarter, I think.

(For the record, Gillis graduated from UGA when I was still in elementary school, so I can take no credit for his success.)
