We’re Not Blacked Out, But This Should Have Been

I didn’t go offline today, I just got busy. Mostly reading about why lots of major online organizations did go offline. And, while tempted to assign a paper to my students yesterday that is due tomorrow, I decided against it. I like my students.

But they also need to learn the difference between online piracy, good news sourcing and free speech … tough call.

Maybe I should going the SOPA/PIPA protest – both proposed laws are massively flawed.

Regardless, Photo District News has an extremely disturbing post up about an ad included in an online catalog for Le Redoute, a French clothing store. Click carefully – they somehow managed to get a naked guy in a photo behind a bunch of children on a beach.

How, exactly, does that happen?
