A Photographic Bucket List

Scott Bourne over at PhotoFocus has an interesting post up about creating a photographic bucket list. A “bucket list” is a list if the things you want to do before you, well, kick the bucket, so to speak.

I have to admit, I’ve done so many cool things over the years that coming up with some would be hard.

But that doesn’t mean I can’t do it …

  • I’d like to shoot the Indy 500. But with a Leica M9, from pit road, with full access.
  • Maybe more so, I’d like to do the same at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
  • I would like to shoot a full political campaign, maybe Congressional, from the decision to run point through the first week two weeks in office. Full access, no limits. I’d even hold the images until the end for release, but I want to show what it looks Ike on the inside.
  • The Grand Canyon. I’m no landscape photographer, and I know it’s one of the hardest things to shoot, but I’d like to try.
  • Route 66 is a total cliche, but … well, I’m kind of a cliche.
  • The Ford Museum in Dearborn. I know, I know, another car thing. I just like cars.
  • I want to do a story about water in my area. This one is doable, I just need to do it.

That’s just a start. What’s on your list?
